The Friends of the Library invites the community to meet Stacie Amarantos, RN, MSN, Catalina Island Medical Center's new Chief Operating Officer and Nursing Executive on February 2, 2017 at 7 pm at the Avalon Library. She will speak about local healthcare services, nursing as a career and her role in guiding CIMC to meet the needs of island residents and visitors.

Originally from Arkansas, Stacie Amarantos moved to southern California with her family at age 13.  She attended Long Beach City College and received her RN degree specializing in labor and delivery and maternal child work.  She has a Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University and most recently worked at St Mary’s Medical Center in Long Beach as an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer.

She lives full time on the island and brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to her position as Chief Operating Officer. Her new role as second in command at CIMC has her immersed in patient care services, staffing and the day to day running of the Medical Center. Stacie shared,” I look forward to serving the community and working with the team at CIMC to continue to improve the quality of healthcare here.”

Join the Friends of the Library for an informative evening with CIMC's Stacie Amarantos on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 7 pm at Avalon Library.
