2016 Catalina Island Women's Golf Club Championship Tournament

The Catalina Island Women's Golf Club held their annual Club Championship Tournament on Thursday May 19, 2016. Those players competing in the eighteen hole flight had an eight o'clock start time, and the nine hole flight players teed off an hour later. 

The winners were announced later in the day at a special luncheon at Steve’s Steakhouse with outstanding food and panoramic views of Avalon Harbor.

Ellen Guion won the eighteen hole flight by posting the lowest gross score. She was named Club Champion for 2016.  Her name will be placed on the perpetual trophy that is on display at the country club. 

Low net score honors for eighteen holes went to Elizabeth Madden. In the nine hole division, Judy Grear was the low gross winner. Her name will be placed on the nine hole trophy.  Pat Hoefs was the low net winner in the nine hole flight.  In special awards, Alison Osinski  won for hitting the longest drive, and Elizabeth Madden won for hitting a tee shot closest to the hole.
