Catalina Island Medical Center 2016 Employee of the Year is Mike Rhoutsong

On Sunday December 18 Catalina Island Medical Center employees, hospital board members and guests traveled to the Airport in the Sky for a special buffet dinner at DC-3 Gifts and Grill.  The annual employee recognition dinner attracted 120 people to honor seven hospital and clinic staff members who were recognized for 5, 10 or 20 years serving island patients and their families.

CIMC CEO Jason Paret  announced that the "Delia Martinez" Legacy Award Winner as CIMC's Outstanding Employee of the Year for 2016 is Plant Operations Manager, Michael Rhoutsong.
"Mike" Rhoutsong is known for excellence in his work and for maintaining the highest standards of service, compassion and respect for patients and co-workers. He also received a 5-year recognition pin and certificate. 

Chief Financial Officer John Lovrich, Chief Operations Officer Stacie Amarantos and other administrative team members spoke about each additional award winner as they were presented with commemorative pins and special certificates.

The honored recipients were praised for "Excellence in Care for every person, every time."  Those honored for their employment milestones and outstanding service were: Shirley Jordan, RN (20 Years), Michelle Jaeger (10 Years), Vanessa Hernandez (10 Years), Lynnette Valles, LVN (5 Years), Leah McCune Keeline (5 Years) and Olivia Mello, RN (5 Years).

CEO Jason Paret spoke to those attending about the exciting changes at the hospital and thanked  the staff for working well together to provide excellent service.
