4th of July Parade Winners

The Nichols Family won of Best of Theme Raising Old Glory in Avalon's 4th of July Independence Day Parade. Most Humorous, Most Creative and Most Patriotic winners were also awarded.

Most Humorous:

  • 1st Place: "Avalon Harbor Patrol", Sangster Family
  • 2nd Place: "Red, White and Dodger Blue", Hustons & Dodgers
  • 3rd Place: HEAL - Helping Every Animal League

Most Creative:

  • 1st Place:  "Tank You Veterans", Avalon Boat House
  • 2nd Place: Davis Family
  • 3rd Place: Flynn & Warner Families

Most Patriotic:

  • 1st Place: "Captain America Salutes our WWII Vets, Superheroes in Our Hearts", Canout Family
  • 2nd Place: All American Family
  • 3rd Place: Catalina Transportations Cinderella Float

In appreciation for their service to our country, Avalon's 2014 4th of July Parade honored World War II Veterans as Grand Marshals. Those that participated included:
