AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - Catalina Island is a fun-filled celebration this 4th of July! Join island residents, visitors and the USC Marching Band in the beautiful city of Avalon for the Annual Fourth of July Parade, Fireworks Display and Dinner, a great way for to honor our nation’s independence while having loads of fun!

The Independence Day festivities will begin July 4th at 1pm with the festive one-of-a-kind 4th of July golf cart and float Parade.  Each year for the past 20 years, the University of Southern California Marching Band leads the parade along Casino Way and down the length of the main waterfront street, Crescent Avenue.  This year’s theme is “Three Cheers for the Red White and Blue”.

The 4th of July fun continues with a scrumptious BBQ Buffet Dinner in the Casino Ballroom with music from the USC Marching Band. One lucky person will have the opportunity to make the high bid to lead the USC band, baton in hand.   Following dinner, spectators will have front row seats from the Casino balcony for the magnificent firework spectacular over Avalon Bay.  Tickets for the Casino dinner, music and fireworks are $33 for adults, $16.00 for children ages three to 12, and free for kids 2 and under. Tickets for just the music and the fireworks are $10.  Dinner is from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, the band plays from 7:30pm - 8:30pm and the fireworks begin at 9pm.  Tickets are available through the Santa Catalina Island Company at 800-322-3434 or through the Discovery Tours tickets outlets or the Catalina Island Chamber and Visitor Center in Avalon.
