AVALON, CATALINA ISLAND - The annual 4th of July Parade's theme is "Three Cheers for the Red, White & Blue" and will begin at 1:00 pm from the Casino building and head down Crescent Ave. If you want to participate in the parade bring your decorated golf cart float to lower Descanso Street from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for judging.
Begin lining up at the Casino Building by 12:30 p.m. All vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver and no motorbikes are permitted in the parade. All vehicles must be street legal and driven by a licensed driver.
We prefer you throw toys or trinkets instead of candy which creates a lot of litter. Parents please watch your children as they are retrieving goodies from the ground and spectators please be respectful of marked off areas where there are plants and flowers.
Immediately following the parade on the Wrigley Plaza Stage there will be an awards ceremony and an honoring of the Grand Marshall. Mary Schickling will again serve as the parade's Master of Ceremoy. If there are any questions please call the City of Avalon Recreation Department at 310-510-1987.
