When to Visit the Island

Catalina Island enjoys a moderate Mediterranean climate and attracts visitors year-round. The average high temperatures only vary by 10°F between summer, with an average high of 75°F, and winter, with an average high of 65°F. With over 250 days of sunshine, you can expect warm days followed by cool evening breezes throughout most of the year.

Catalina Island's high season is from June to October and is particularly busy during the peak of summer. Low season is from December to February and the shoulder season from March to May and November. Weekends are typically busier than weekdays year-round. Most hotels, shops, activities and restaurants remain open all year.
